Welcome to BodySwap Swap! BodySwap Swap is a multifandom bodyswap-themed exchange which also allows for bodysharing and possession. The minimum is a complete fic of 500 words or a completed sketch on unlined paper.

You must be 18+ and have an AO3 account to participate.

Nominations:

- Tag set can be found here.

- Participants can nominate up to 10 fandoms with up to 10 relationships and up to 10 freeforms.

- Please disambiguate by placing the canonical fandom name, where possible, in parenthesis after the pairing, like s!Harry Potter/s!Ron Weasley (HP - JKR).

- Nominations should include a s! to indicate who is being swapped, i.e. s!Harry Potter/s!Ron Weasley. Both platonic & romantic ships are welcome, and original characters are allowed.

- We define character as “personality” rather than “body” for all ships. For example, in the case of s!Harry Potter & s!Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley, Hermione/Ron indicates Hermione-in-Harry’s-body/Ron once swapped and does not include Harry-in-Hermione’s-body/Ron unless specified in the recip’s optional details.

- Group nominations are allowed, but your creator will have the final say on who gets swapped with who if more than two characters are swapped. These should be nominated as s!Harry Potter & s!Ron Weasley & s!Hermione Granger & s!Neville Longbottom or s!Harry Potter & s!Ron Weasley & s!Hermione Granger & Neville Longbottom

- For Original Works, please indicate the gendered preference of your characters in your disambiguation, e.g. s!Lady of the Lake/s!Trickster Spirit (OW F/F). If no preference, (OW Any/Any) is allowed, but optional details cannot then limit which genders the characters can be.

- RPF (over 18 + no non-famous family members) is eligible.

- Creator’s Choice of Fandom is eligible as a fandom.

- Please nominate crossovers under Crossover Fandom with the fandom name in parenthesis after each character, e.g. s!Harry Potter (HP - JKR)/s!Jim Hopper (Stranger Things).

- Object and animal nominations are allowed, e.g. s!Harry Potter & s!Fawkes, s!Dean Winchester & s!Impala.

- “Any” nominations are allowed, e.g. s!Harry Potter/s!Any Character, but you may not specify which character is “Any” in your option details after. This will be up to your creator. You can, however, be specific to a group in your nomination, e.g. s!Harry Potter/s!Any Death Eater.

- Freeform tags should relate directly to either bodyswapping, possession or body sharing.

Sign-ups:

- You must request and offer 3 unique fandoms, but you may repeat fandoms after that. You must pick which medium(s) you would like to receive gifts in.

- Relationships: You may request and offer 3-10 relationships.

- Freeforms: You may request and offer 2-20 freeforms per request. Please note that your creator will have to include only one of these freeforms in their work.

- In the Option Details box, please include your Do Not Wants/DNWs, which are things you do not want to see in your gift. Only DNWs in your Optional Details will be enforced (i.e. DNWs found only in your letter cannot be enforced). There is no limit on the number of DNWs. You do not need to give your reasoning for any of them and should try to be non-judgemental but specific.

A Note on DNWs: We cannot enforce DNWs that contradict the request (e.g. “DNW age gap” while requested s!Harry/s!Snape, or “DNW hurt/comfort” while request a hurt/comfort freeform).

- You may include prompts in the Optional Details box, and/or link to a Dear Creator letter.

- If you have a “do not match” request (e.g. there is a participant you do not want as a creator or recipient), please contact bodyswapswap@gmail.com as soon as possible. We do not need reasons, and they do not need to have signed up for you to note this. We will honour do not match requests and ask what you would like to do in regards to treats.

- Mods reserve the right to remove participants who have histories of repeated rule-breaking behaviour.

Assignments:

- The minimum wordcount is 500 words or a completed sketch on unlined paper.

- Matching will be on fandom, 1 relationship, 1 freeform tag and a medium.

- You do not need to include all of your recipient’s freeforms in your work. You can write for any one (or more) of their freeforms, even if you did not offer it originally.

- Your gift must not contain any of your recipient’s DNWs.

- If you are not matchable, you will be given twenty-four (24) hours to either change your sign-up or delete it. If we don’t hear from you within these twenty-four hours, your sign-up will be deleted.

- If you cannot fulfill your assignment by the due date, please hit ‘Default’ on your Assignments page. No explanation necessary.

- If you have questions for your recip, please contact bodyswapswap@gmail.com and we will forward them to your recip. Do not contact your recip about your assignment directly for any reason.

Pinch Hits:

- Pinch hits will be posted to this Dreamwidth community. To claim one, either reply to the post (comments will be screened + anonymous comments will be allowed) with your AO3 username + the username/number of the PH you would like, or contact the mods at bodyswapswap@gmail.com

- You do not need to be signed up to the exchange to take a pinch hit, but an AO3 account is required.

- Everyone is guaranteed a gift and the collection will not open until that requirement has been fulfilled.
